Such an important place for wildlife rehabilitation. Support if you can. They work hard and always need newspapers etc. Took in an underweight juvenile hedgehog for me to bring up to weight. Got an update on him when I asked. They are very to the point and your rescue is in the best hands. Please help with funding or donations of newspaper etc if you can.

Such an amazing free service. The staff were polite and helpful when we called them about an injured hedgehog we found in our garden. We drove over to the rescue centre where we were met and handed the wee guy over to be cared for. We did make a donation but it isn’t necessary and they don’t charge. Such an amazing resource for wildlife, shall endeavour to do whatever I can to support it.

Interesting to read that Prince Charles is taking on 3 hedgehogs from this rescue but disappointed that the paper says this is to keep his slug population down. I'm sure all good rescues know that hedgehogs only eat slugs when they are starving as they give them lungworm. Hoping this will be an opportunity to raise awareness for hedgehogs. A shame the article was hopeless and gave no info about the importance of supplemental feeding (cat food not mealworms) but there we are.

The best rescue centre there is!! I would always rely on Hessilhead and always choose to call thrm before SSPCA. They have an open day once a year - throughly recommend going along if you can.
