I had such an amazing experience with The Belfast Clinic at Optimax. The team there made me feel very comfortable, went above and beyond to answer any questions and led me through a successful surgery. I was amazed by the results, after I got my LASIK surgery, which was pain-free and done within minutes - I could see 20/20 the day after....it has changed my life. Thanks again to the team, you are all amazing - especially Fiona who made the experience so personal and made me feel so comfortable to ask any questions, no matter how stupid.

I had given up on laser eye surgery having had a bad experience with Optilase in Belfast when I received a call from Optimax. It was around November/December 2020 and I wasn't ready to go through the process again having got to the final stages with optilase and almost ready for surgery. However, I listened to the rep and discussed costing etc and booked a consultation at the Belfast Clinic. This was the best decision I've made. I spoke with Fiona who got me ready for the consultation, Grainne who completed the checks and the surgeon via a video call. I was put at ease, I was treated with care and made to feel so comfortable so it was a no brainer to go ahead with surgery. I saved 1000 compared to my quote with Optilase and felt completely committed to the surgery. The surgery was booked in quickly and I was extremely nervous. Turns out I didn't need to be, I was in the best hands. Between the surgeon and the assistants Kelly and Valerie I was put at ease right away. They time the procedure on each eye and count down which is a massive help. The aftercare has been exceptional. Given that we have been in lockdown throughout, my appointments were managed well with few other patients (sometimes none) in the waiting area. Masks are compulsory, sanatiser is proved on entry and temperature taken right away. For me, I have always felt safe and well looked after. Can't recommend the whole team enjoy, definitely a collective effort from a well managed, cohesive team. My eyesight is better now than its every been. My only gripe is that I didn't just go to Optimax first.

Had laser done here back in 2008, great experience and a great result. My eyes are changing now as I hit my mid 40s but that's to be expected. I'm back wearing driving glasses but that's all. Highly recommended.

Do your research and ask every question under the sun! I had my eyes lasered here 10 years ago. I was meant to get the lasik but the item that is used to keep my eye in place kept popping off and it was aborted. The surgeon pushed so hard on my eyeball to get it to stick I heard crunching and vision went grey. I also was completely bloodshot in my eye as a result. I was given the choice to have lasek which I opted for. No reduction in price even though it is cheaper! I had days of extreme pain and my vision was so bad for 6 months. I had triple vision. An NHS consultant told me I had dry eyes and this should have been pointed out by optimax before my surgery that dry eyes get worse. It was not. Even though I told the surgeon that I was getting it as my contacts were always sore, they said that was dry eyes. It also should have been noticed that my eyes were not suitable for lasik as they were too small (thats what they surgeon said the day of the procedure) I would not recommend this place. On the day it was like a conveyor belt of people. I have had so many problems afterwards, and could not see properly for 6 months! I feared this would be forever at the time. As u can imagine 6 months is a long time!!

I got my laser eye surgery done with the Belfast Clinic of Optimax. The customer service was excellent, everyone knew me and my partner by name on every visit. Everyone was super helpful with settling any nerves and answering any questions. The surgery itself was relatively pain-free and very quick. Dr. Ayoubi talked me through it and kept me calm throughout it.
