"Boring"? "Average"? do I see in comments? What philistines. THIS is the land of St Cuthbert, Of peace and recuperation of the Spirit. I have never been on the Island unfortunately but even I know the true value of such places. SHAME on them!. They should read 'The Island of Tides - A Journey to Lindisfare' by Alistair Moffat, Why bother going? Why just not whine -and just not return?
