Support Worker with BHC. I have nothing but praise for the Manager Jill, Account Manager Collette and the rest of the team in the Bedford office. Professional, courteous and accomodating with shift patterns each week. Go above and beyond to ensure right staff in right care environment.

What can say as an old experienced care worker. This is the way how to scam peoples on a legal but unethical way. First they offer you a training for a loan contract, that if you don't wish to continue on working with them you have to pay them back. Then you have to pay for your uniform, for DBS certificate (around 60). Most likely they assign you to house to house service. Without paid travel time. So lets say you work 8 hours you'll get paid around 3.5-4 hours out of it with running around all over the place. Not even worth to run a car for this job. So if you looking for a job for living , forget about them. Not even talk about the management. Lack of communication, unprofessional, very incompetent. AVOID THEM ALL COST!

I can not fault the carers in whom supported my brother. Most was polite, hardworking and above all - caring! We had major issues with management. Care calls are often double booked, so no carers would turn up, or if they did - they would have to rush what they was doing to fit clients in. We had no phone calls to warn us if carers would be late - but then there was no consistency anyway, so we never knew what time to expect the carers. The carers all did their best, but you could see that they was being overworked and stressed. After calls to social services, safeguarding concerns raised and the care commission involved, we was always promised things would get better - but if anything, it got worse. We ended up leaving the company as it got too much. In over 20 years of going from child services, to adult services, this was by far the most poorly managed company that we have had the misfortune of using. My concern is that my brother has me to fight for the correct care in which he deserves. Some people don’t have a voice or advocate to raise concerns.
