Lots of possible walks around this area. it's far enough away from the main tourist spots near Snowdon that you'll likely only encounter 1 or 2 others on a trip here. Some very steep sections, the ruins at the top of the quarry are still there and not fenced off so you can have a wander around them and get a sense of the conditions workers would have been living in 100 years ago.
This is a beautiful Place to just have a little walk. There are great views over the landscape and the hillside covered with the mined slate. There are also companies offering 5-7 hour long underground tours of the mine, the entrance of which is a cave in the forrest that the walk takes you to.
