RYE PARKING METERS. What a big mistake putting meters in Rye. A historic, picturesque tourist town. A blot on the landscape. Cobbled streets and old houses in predominantly conservation areas. The meters have changed the face of Rye. Having spoke to some local traders it's affecting trade big time. There's also enforcement officers present. That is all that was required. Never mind more revenue from the drivers and less for the traders. Well done Rother Council.

Lived at my address for over a year now, requested a bin several times and never received one, had a confirmation of request come through a couple of times but then nothing after that. Tried to fill out another form today and there are 2 options for bins now, both sacks, both options give an error sayings they cant process this type and cant progress with the application. Calling is useless, they're not open weekends and never answer the phone even when they are. Looking forward to Bexhill having its own council so I don't have to deal with Rother anymore. To anyone trying to sort out issues with Rother council at the moment, good luck.

I parked in Battle today and paid with my debit card. A nice person told me when I returned to check-out that there is no charge today. I thought, oh well it's only 1.17 but just checked my account and find that Rother has charged me 4.50. Disgraceful! I will be complaining. I advise everyone to check their statements as I would presume that this is not an isolated case.

My friend was threatened with homelessness. He spoke to a very helpful chap who advised him of his options. He accessed the rent and deposit scheme and now has a 12 month tenancy in the private rented sector. He has never been happier.

This number is currently coming up as unobtainable. I have tried to report this to the Department of Local Govt but as they seemed to have problems I have reported it to the Cabinet Office. If anyone can find another way of contacting them, good luck.
