To quote the great Claude Littner, EDF's customer service is at best woeful. Dealing with them for the simplest task is just an absolute nightmare!!! I was with them for one day when I moved into a new property in October, trying to provide them with a meter reading and move to a new supplier and get a final bill has so far taken 4 months. Particular points of feedback: - Talking to the chatbots is pointless, they don't action stuff that's agreed. - Awful options navigation when you ring up - They are just desperate to get you to use the website. - Inconsistent processes and options when speaking to the call centre staff, they always tell you something different. - Website and Applications look like they have been designed and build by a 5 year old. - They send you an insane number of letters, at one point we were getting 5 letters a day. One positive is the staff are always friendly, they are just useless, (probably due to poor training) at their job. My main beef is that these \suppliers\ don't actually do anything, all they do is charge for \billing\, so they just take two numbers away from each other and charge you, so their whole business model is to just try and fleece people (mainly pensioners who can't use the internet) out as much as they can.
EDF is a good company and with great services. Only problem I have with these people is the arrogance in wording their letters. EDF sends you a bill and 5 days later, they send threats letters with words like \ we have tried to help you pay your bill dated - - - -\ but you have failed to make payment. We are going to take your account to a debt collection agency. For crying out loud it's only 5 days from when I received the bill and no arrears whatsoever except the due bill. The day I receive the bill is different from when I get paid. Or do these unreasonable people assume everyone has money laying around. Be more human, sensitive and compassionate when writing these sort of letters and be considerate too that some people money on different days.
Horrible service can’t get through even in 1 hour. This is absolutely unacceptable given it’s paid service
If I could give them 0 stars I would. They use tac tics to take any money you have on you!! I wouldn't recommend joining this company..always had poor experience with EDF
