Our Mission We're here to make a positive difference to the people we support by offering a range of innovative services that empower people to control their own lives. As a registered charity, based in Ladywood, Birmingham, BID Services works in partnership with deaf people and other communities to deliver a range of specialist support services for the deaf, deafened, deafblind, hard of hearing and those with physical, sensory and learning disabilities. Our aim is to provide personalised services which empower and support our clients and improve their quality of life. BID has been working in partnership with deaf communities since 1899 and has a proven track record of successful delivery of its services. Our achievements include the completion of the UK’s first purpose built Deaf Cultural Centre, and expansion into new geographical areas and services. Over the past ten years, BID has made significant strides forward and has seen the greatest period of expansion and development in our 100 year plus history.
