Staff extremely rude, and refused to give information about my wife who was detained there. She also walked out of the hospital and travelled 50 miles to our home. Via Taxi which cost me 180. Whilst she was under a Mental Health Section 3 I took her back in my car as she was very distressed... I received only a cup of tea for my troubles. The manager has since stated that I told her to do this! ( Complete fiction!! ) He refuses to pay me back..... I've sent a letter about this to their manager and so expected some response..... I have now been waiting 5 months. I have put in a complaint to the care commission who did nothing. Not really a surprise as we had the same response when my wife was in Winterbourne View. When the victims from Winterbourne View had to attend a meeting about what had happened, The manager blocked her transport. Im not sure what this place is meant to do? My experience is they are more interested in money than the care of their patients. My wife was meant to be there 6 months 2 years on she is still there..... I have never received any apology for their abuse... I will shortly be taking them to a small claims Court. This is a true account of my experiences.Make of it what you want..... It's written with out prejudice..I pray each day that she gets out and gets the care she needs. In a far less volatile place.
