I took a cylinder head to Blue Star today for skimming. I was struggling to find anyone to do it on a Saturday, but these guys did. The head was returned to me cleaned, rapid turn around. Now I can put it back on my van ready for work on Monday. I though the price was generous. When I asked questions about the work done, it was explained to me very well. Although Blue Star are 20miles away from me, I think I will be using them again as I am very happy. Thanks All!

I'D GOT MY CAR RECOVERED TO THESE GUYS DUE TO THE ENGINE MOUNT BOLT SNAPPING INSIDE. I ASKED IF THEY WERE ABLE TO UNTETHER THE BOLT, SAID YES. I GAVE MY CAR TO THEM AND WAS TOLD HE'S TAKEN THE ENGINE MOUNT BOLT OUT. I'D TAKEN HIS WORD FOR IT AND THE CAR WAS RUNNING OKAY FOR THE FIRST 2-3 WEEKS THEN HERD A LOUD BANG. TAKEN IT TO A DIFFERENT GARAGE AND WAS TOLD FLYWHEELS GONE. ONLY MADE SENSE TO CHANGE BOTH CLUTCH AND FLYWHEEL AS IT ALL COMES AS A SET OVER 500 OUT OF POCKET 370 CLUTCH FLYWHEEL PLUS 140 LABOUR. I'D TAKEN IT TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO'D TAKEN MY GEARBOX APART SHOWN ME THE BOLT WAS STUCK IN MY OLD FLYWHEEL AND HALF STILL SNAPPED IN THE GEARBOX. SIMPLY PUT BLUE STAR ENGINES LTD JUST SOLD ME A LIE AND SCREWED A NEW BOLT INTO THE OLD ONE AND JOB WAS DONE FOR THEM. THE GARAGE I WAS AT THE MECHANIC ALLOWED ME TO STAND AND WATCH AS WORK WAS CARRIED OUT FOR OWN PEACE OF MIND. BLUESTAR WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO WATCH WORK BEING CARRIED OUT AND YOU WILL JUST HAVE TO TAKE THEIR WORD FOR IT. THIS IS EVEN IF A JOB IS DONE OR NOT. GO TO A GARAGE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO SEE WORK BEING CARRIED OUT ON YOUR CAR OR YOU WILL BE TAKEN AS A FOOL, LIKE I WAS. I HAVE PICTURES AS EVIDENCE AND WILL TRY TO UPLOUD SHORTLY.
