I joined Sundragon a few years ago with minimal ceramics experience, and from that point on Becky and colleagues have been exceptionally welcoming. I've seen the studio go from strength to strength with advances in equipment, studio space and classes... all driven by the want for all to enjoy ceramics. The studio fees are nominal compared to other set-ups allowing all to enjoy ceramics. Tutors like Ian and Austin allow you to progress whilst inspiring at the same time. There's a wealth of experience with advice on hand at all times. Its a great place to go to unwind at the end of the day, for inspiration and for a chat about anything from art to politics. Can't wait for this place to re-open!

I started pottery classes at Sundragon in January 2019, and just kept going...becoming a member, and spending more time than is entirely reasonable at the studio in the Old Print Works. Sundragon is magnificent. It allows budding potters to explore playing with clay, but also provides those who are further along in their practice space to be a part of a community of like minded creative people. The experienced potters are always on hand to share wisdom, tips and tricks, and there are heaps of ways to get involved, should you want to. Sundragon has helped me to find an entirely new creative outlet, nurturing and encouraging me every step of the way. I can’t imagine life without the Sundragon Family!
Sundragon pottery is a community space where you can create bespoke pieces of pottery art, experience a quiet mindful craft and meet lovely like-minded people each with their own Individual character portrayed in their work. A lovely place to come, create art and develop your pottery skills in a supported atmosphere, where members help and support each other. You feel a buzz when you produce that amazing piece of pottery with your own fair hands.
I am delighted to have been a member of Sundragon for a year. I’d wanted to try pottery for some time and having found Sundragon via a Google search I booked a couple of private lessons with Ian via the website. After that taster I joined Ian’s group classes. I really enjoyed those Thursday evenings in the pottery, developing my skills in a very friendly and welcoming environment. Eventually I joined the pottery as a member and continue to visit and work there as often as I can. It is a pleasure to be part of such a friendly community. It is like the bar in “Cheers”, but with clay! Thank you Sundragon!
An extremely welcoming and warm place to come and play with clay, whether you’re a beginner or experienced potter. Excellent courses in different techniques and members always on hand and happy to help. The fees for courses and for membership are really fair so it’s accessible to all. I ️ Sundragon!
