Great little supermarket with very competitive prices, you will find almost everything under one roof here. Barkat includes a butcher's within the premises which is also certified HMC
This store is very convienient for me as they sell everything you need under 1 roof,but recently i have noticed a change in their attitude ,i ask'd for something which they never had on the shelves ,the lady at the till told 1 of the boys to say we dont have it ,all because they did'nt want to have a look it the stock room..disgusting..they need to be fully trained in customer service.
Absolutely DISGUSTING customer service! Rang to ask if the meat was HMC (as I am from out of town) and the lady was so rude and replied “if you’re that bothered eat lentils”. Personally CANNOT believe any member of staff could speak to a potential customer in this manner. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! If they cannot answer a simple query regarding their meat politely, why should they deserve our custom! Simple yes or no would have gone a LONG way. Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Clearly need to rename the store since there’s no ‘barkat’ in speaking to people in that manner!
