Before visiting Ocean Recovery I was terrified and didn’t really want to go, I was suffering with alcohol addiction, it was my close family that helped me take the first step. After a couple of days at Ocean and meeting staff and other clients, I was put at ease - they were friendly group and helped me start recovery Not having to cook, clean and do washing allowed meeting to just concentrate on my recovery and remove any distractions. There were lots of group session on offer which we were encouraged to attend and these helped with my recovery massively alongside the 1-2-1 sessions. If you are considering going to Ocean, I would advise going to have a look as this will help ensure you that this centre is for you. The fact that there is aftercare and ability to ring up whenever you need to speak to staff helps massively.

Im Claire and I'm an addict ( a recovering one ) I stayed here for 6 weeks all together and what I thought was going to be complete torture, granted it was hard, we can expect that but it turned out the complete opposite of torture thanks to each and every member of staff there who with the amazing ppl I met on their journey they became life long friends that led me back to the person I forgot all about. The compassion you receive is 10 the classes are amazing so get stuck in as early as you feel upto it and the food, wow , make sure you eat - you'll be missing out if not!! Huge shout out to Maggie too (the manager) that lady goes above and beyond for everyone who walks through ocean recovery rehabs doors going out of her way. No words will be enough to describe how forever thankful I'll be to her and the team. Highly recommend this place if you want to change your life!

Having left Ocean Recovery in July 2019, I have now been sober for 9 months and i feel that being in Ocean has saved my life. I am now able to feel again and feel connected to people. I am now enjoying a journey of self discovery with the help from Ocean staff and clients from aftercare. I still attend aftercare which is really beneficial to my recovery. Aftercare is an important part of keeping connected to like minded people and helps with preventing relapse. It is a progressive disease so it is important to progress with aftercare and keep updated. If you are suffering from any kind of addiction i would highly recommend reaching out and ringing Ocean. You cant put a price on your life.

I spent several weeks there last year. The staff and Manager are amazing and extremely helpful. Food is very nutritious, gorgeous and the chefs are outstanding. Couldn't wait for meal times! It felt like a home and most of the staff have been in the same position, in recovery and living life. I too am still in recovery 7 months later as I learned so much during my time there. It's the best place to be if you need help and well worth making the effort to attend all the group sessions and all the other facilities on offer including acupuncture, meditation and access to the Counsellor. One day at a time I hope never to take that first drink again. My support is from AA meetings, 6 per week and daily contact with my Sponsor. I wish you all well. Thanks to everyone. Shirl

I spent 2 week at Ocean March of this year. I did not want to go but it was the best decision that I have ever made. The staff are absolutely wonderful and have lived and breathed the torment of addiction. They are exceptionally experienced in what they do and do it with understanding, care and compassion. I have spent time in another facility, nothing compares. Ocean provide the safety, experience, information, expertise and ongoing support that other facilities do not. I would highly recommend Ocean for any addiction.
