Beautiful place stunning in the snow. gorgeous surroundings deffinatly visit this place again in the summer.

Nice lake in the mountains, surrounded by disused old quarry buildings for a historical walk, nearby is the slate trail which is very maintained and easy to follow if you are visiting for a longer walk. If you plan on walking all the way around the lake then bring some wellies or good boots as the ground can be very boggy in parts
Couple of hrs fishing. Plenty of small trout caught on sedge patterns.
Less crowded and interesting mines and relics
Beautiful scenery and full of the history of the slate miners and their families who lived and worked there in the 19th century. The last residents left in 1930. Full of the ruins of houses big and small. A chapel. Many Mine buildings and much slate!
