Got locked in with my baby son; only notice of closure time was a laminated piece of paper on the gate, which wasn't obvious as you approach. I was the only person walking there so the bloke could of shouted me. Nice place for a local walk pretty wee harbour, shame I had to climb the fence with a 15 month old. For reference the harbour (area beyond the railway arch) closes at 15:45.

Sooo historic. I could just see the queen mary coming down the water on its launch day. Its immensely sad to see what was a fully working harbour that brought in so much to scotland just lie there and crumble I to the waters. The ghostly vessels beached in the harbour is a reminder of what was once a bustling thriving area. It is now a dangerous site accessible when you cross the railway bridge and enter through a wee white gate just left as you come down the stairs. Not accessible to anyone in a wheel chair. Just a short walk away from the harbour is a world war 2 lookout pillar box which was interesting to see. On this walking trail you can walk right up under the Erskine bridge. Pictures attached. Only problem is the parking as there is a lot of construction going on apart from that a great place for a walk
A great experience, I had Coffee and Cake Carryout which was superb. The refurbishment is superb with future development opportunities available.
