Had an awful experience and I’m still going through it. As if it isn’t traumatic enough having to terminate a very wanted pregnancy due to fetal abnormalities, they didn’t do it correctly either! My GP sent me here at 13w3d...had the procedure, it all seemed normal..12 days later I develop a temperature of 37.2 and everyone kept saying (the aftercare line and NHS emergency) “that’s not classed as a fever, take paracetamol and rest”. However, since I have a negative Covid test, have minimal interaction with the outside world due to quarantine and having had the procedure, you don’t need to be a doctor to understand the two are correlated....just a critical thinker! Anyway, since no one was helping and I knew something was wrong, I had a scan privately and what do they find??? Retained product in the uterus from the fetus! But again that wasn’t enough for the NHS...it was done privately and they wouldn’t accept the scan. I don’t know the ending of my story yet, all I know is we can’t accept this degrading healthcare system when we are obedient citizens! I refuse to be treated like this and risk the health of my reproductive organs and in general when half my salary goes to taxes!

The team involved in my surgery today were great, they made the whole process very comfortable, they were friendly, caring and so supportive. In particular Jane and Sarah were so lovely. Also, all the doctors who I don't remember as I was on GA for doing such an amazing job. Thank you Jane for the food recipe, I'll try to make it

My appointment was at 11:30 and I’ve been waiting 2 hours. No one has come to speak to me to let me know what’s going on. AND I’m still waiting. Disgusting service!

The staff and nurses are extremely lovely, non judgmental and caring. They really look after you well. Waiting time is awful but the surgery was very simple

Had a late termination at BPA Richmond and couldn't fault the service at all. The staff were warm, friendly and the nurses were helpful. I felt safe, well looked after and they seemed very supportive. This was needed after going through the trauma of having the termination of a wanted pregnancy. Thanks BPAS.
