Paid a visit to the museum which is set on the bank of the river Avon that runs through the town,it is situated above the library in Bridge Street overlooking the short stay car park.even though it is only a small place it has a lot on display, dating back to Roman times with a lot of artefacts on show,it also has a complete old fashioned chemist with all the original bottles and potions, even the original creaky floorboards are in place,it is amazing to see something like this so well preserved. It is free to enter and well worth a look around when visiting the town.

Interesting range of items and books, some themed around current exhibitions. Postcards, fridge magnets and sundry small items as good and inexpensive souvenirs.
Comprehensive museum with wide range of exhibits in relatively small space. Good replica of old shops and items well labelled. Very welcoming volunteer on duty. Upstairs (plus lift) so good views of river and bridge.
Small but packed with information and a very enthusiastic custodian
