I visited the 6 acres during the Eat out to help out scheme. The staff were outstanding, they were very polite and helpful throughout. We were greeted by a young gentleman named Reece, he was more than helpful, really friendly and gave us brilliant service. We were informed as we sat down that there may be a longer wait than usual due to the scheme! Food was out pretty sharpish and we didn’t mind the wait! The staff made our table feel at ease especially with the new restrictions in place! Food was delicious, great portion sizes and very well presented. I would definitely recommend eating here, we will be back again shortly! Well done all at the 6 acres!

We went here as we had heard good things about the carvery... We knew it would be slightly different guidelines due to social distancing which is fine and the system of having a ticket and waiting to be called is good, if everyone did that... We were waiting as we had been told, watching people being seated after us just walk up to the carvery and the staff just watching and not saying anything. When we were eventually told to go up to the counter the server puts all the food on the plate for you (again which is fine if they listened!) there was some veg we couldn't have as they had piled that much of the previous veg when we had asked for \a small amount\ as the plates are not that big (for the portions of cabbage etc they were dishing out) onions flying over the side of the plate!! Sometimes you have a meal and it's \OK\, this wasn't even that.. The beef was tough, the pork was far too salty - the 2 stars are because the turkey was OK.. The yorkshire was like cardboard, the veg (it was either carrots and swede or sweet potato mash I couldn't tell as there was so much pepper in) the mashed potato was instant mash and my husband got onion gravy thinking they would ladle the juice on.. No! They spooned the onions all over (big pieces of onion that were crunchy) he had to ask for a side plate to get rid of them so he could eat the veg underneath.. So disappointed!! The deserts looked really nice and before we had sat down we said we'd get one to take away, but the carvery was so bad that we didn't trust they would be good enough to fork out for them!! Won't be going back.

Hired the self contained function room for my 70th birthday. Features its own bar and toilets and is isolated from the pub with direct access to the car park. Had the celebration buffet which was excellent, varied and plentiful. Staff served the buffet and operated the bar and were efficient and amenable. Given the circumstances it was top notch and memorable.

Amazing place. Too bad it is not advertised and the location is not exactly...central. Prices were a bit high for the location but they use home made, farm grown products. First place in Leeds I had real home made sausages. The ambient is warming and welcoming, plenty of space both indoor and outdoor.
