Beautifully restored station & associated buildings, a little gem at the end of the South Tynedale Railway. The line runs from Alston to Slaggyford a lovely 35 minute run through the countryside on the original railway bed that used to run to all the way up to Haltwhistle. You can visit the signal box or enjoy the cafe which is a delightful converted railway carriage at the station. Friendly informative staff that make a visit very enjoyable. You can park at Slaggyford & join the train from there or do the run from Alston.
