This is a real jem of a place. A beautiful place to have a picnic, either on the grass or there are a few tables around. There is a board with information about the walking trails, one of which is classed as an easy access walk suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. There are areas along the river where you can have a paddle. Car park is free. This area can get packed on a really nice day and it's not hard to see why.

Absolutely love this place. The river and the scenery are just amazing for an away day. There are toilets. One downside is there aren't enough benches, but remember to take a folding chair and you'll be good. Best spots are at the river! Enjoy :-)
Super place to walk the dog, picnic, take the kids, or put a small boat in the water. Paddles only though, too shallow for engines. No bins, so take a bin bag and take your rubbish home. Toilets on site, though these have been closed since the start of the virus. A super starting place for a long walk, if that is what you wish. No camping. Kids and I love this place and frequent it often. Every time we have been, there was always an ice cream van on site. One of them, sells ice creams to die for. Go check it out.
