Always loved this place as a student - it was a great little place to meet up and relax after a 'hard' days work... After almost four years of visiting this place, it still stands as a fantastic place to visit in York. Recently had a coffee from here and it was delicious, as always - and very COVID secure. So thanks guys and gals!

Been here a few times and adore it! A short wait for a table sometimes, but definitely worth it and show's how popular this place truly is so don't let that put you off! Nice sized menu, good vegan options and delicious fresh thick pancakes with loads of lush toppings. Can't recommend this place more

Great brunch spot. Nice and snug inside, delicious food and high quality coffee.
I would have loved to have stayed longer. Cream tea is served here with waffles, cakes and sandwiches. And looked plentiful at the next table. I said I wanted coffee and a scone and it was served quickly. The scone was nice and warm and tasted fresh. Coffee was rich and lovely. This is probably a lot better than some coffee chains. I said I needed a socket to charge my phone. She gave me a table closest to a socket which was very kind and thoughtful. It was the only visible charging point in the cafe. My only concern is what if another customer sat there first. For me, a cafe should have sockets at every table so customers can charge phones and use laptops without asking or worrying. This is why I have given only 4 stars.
