The stone hearth had broken in the first month which Artisan claim was due to the stone being stood on! So check how thick the stone is and get someone to fit it who does not leave a gap underneath so it will not crack easily. They want 1,340 for a whole new unit because they may damage the current one whilst dismantling it. Update 3.2.21: I need the money back to go elsewhere for a replacement fireplace, 2nd set of installation costs, independent report and legal fees.

Whole experience was bad from start to finish. The finish was particularly bad and had to have the wall skimmed. The mess was out of this world.

I bought a contura fire (wood burning stove) just under 2 years ago just had it serviced and still going strong I can remember when I bought it how good and well the company was definitely recommend artisan so pleased my fire is still as good as new . And I have used it alot. I love it and it makes my house look fantastic.

Visited Artisan when the first social restrictions were lifted a few months ago - sales process was great, gave them an idea of what we wanted and got shown some examples, zero 'pressure sales' from the team. Once Fireplace was picked they came to measure in the home and gave us 'fitting date' - although this got moved due to Covid, Sue and the team kept us up to date explaining the reasons. Few teething problems when fitting - due to being an old house, but when we mentioned it to Sue she came personally for the final part of the installation to make sure we were happy. Would recommend - great end to end service from a local business
