Concordia is a fantastic non-profit organisation that I can't recommend highly enough if you are looking to do a rewarding, well-organised and impactful volunteer placement overseas. Concordia's support was fantastic throughout the whole process, they helped me find the perfect placement based on my interests and availability, provided an insightful and fun training day in Brighton to prepare for departure, and maintained contact afterwards to receive feedback about how the placement went. The staff are friendly, helpful and dedicated. Francesco was always available to answer any questions and it was lovely to meet the staff face to face at the North-South Preparation day. If you choose to volunteer with Concordia you will be more than just a number, you are valued as an individual, and that's what makes them so special compared to other overseas placement organisations. Go for Concordia and make a real difference in the world, make new friends from all over the globe, and create fantastic memories!

Concordia is a fantastic organisation with an excellent and very supportive team! I am particularly impressed with the organisation in two ways: Firstly, the sheer variety of overseas opportunities available is astounding and secondly, being a charitable organisation dedicated to promoting national and international volunteering as a means by which to establish intercultural understanding and peace, it aims to keep it's project costs low, enabling people from all walks of life to engage in the programmes on offer. I have personally been able to enjoy many enriching overseas experiences through Concordia! Examples include volunteering on a youth summer activity camp in Germany and also on an environmental / conservation project in the south of Greece. During these projects, I exchanged my time, motivation and commitment in return for accommodation and food. Additionally, I have been lucky enough to take part in a \European Voluntary Service\ project through Concordia. My project was in the French Alps, working for an organisation which promotes intercultural appreciation and tolerance through international summer youth activity camps, festivals, local community projects etc. Furthermore, I have also lead one of Concordia's UK summer projects here in the UK, where I coordinated and organised the daily social activity programme for the international volunteers who were working at a local youth centre delivering outreach sports and creative activities to young people in the local community. These personal examples are just a few insights into the many diverse opportunities that are made possible through Concordia! I would highly recommend the organisation to those wanting to feel enriched and inspired through taking part in \ethical\, \grass-roots\ overseas voluntary projects which benefit local communities!

Spent a memorable summer in the Auvergne, France, with a group of Concordia students from around the world. Worked, laughed, swam, hitch-hiked, cooked, talked, sang, shared my life with 15 strangers, and had the best time ever.
