On one website it was advertised as the best fish and chips in town. The service was nice, the food was good for the price. The decoration inside could be improved but you have the seaview, which is nice (at least when the weather is not rainy and foggy). So yes, it's a good place to eat, especially if you're with your family. But not sure if it's the best fish and chips in town...

Absolutely fantastic place. They are always very friendly and intentive. Food are amazing. And reasonable price.

Very delicious. Service was fast. Toilets were a bit dingy which took away from the high class decor but I'm not visiting for the toilets. The batter was crispy and the chips were firm and fluffy. I ordered the fried seafood platter and everything was cooked to perfection, my only complaint would be that I was given way too much whitebait. Some might call that a positive but I'm a big eater and I had to leave at least half of the whitebait. Otherwise great food and service.

Booked lunch here and the atmosphere was pleasant under shade in the sunshine seated on the pavement section. Service was attentive and the starters with pita bread were tasty, the whitebait good but the squid quite poor. Main courses of spaghetti and fish and chips were fine but the home-made moussaka was the smallest portion I have been served in thirty years of ordering such a meal from various restaurants and it also tasted poor with no substance to it. And finally, when the bill arrived, the drinks were overcharged compared to the menu price. I will look elsewhere in future for a good Brighton lunch.

Absolutely fantastic restaurant highly recommend, the food was fantastic along with the weather the young lad who looked after us all afternoon could not do enough for us 10/10 thank you to you all at Melrose
