The Hove team were superb. I subscribe to the annual Servicing plan monthly. My car was collected by the local team and delivered back to my house on completion fully valeted inside and out. The team rang me and told me the car had passed on all checks and where necessary, filters and fluid levels changed or topped up as appropriate. It was suggested that as the car was 2 years old I might want to consider the recommendation to have the air conditioning fully serviced. At no point did they attempt they “hard sell” just gave me the facts, costs and why it’s recommended. The choice was up to me. I agreed to have this done and they carried out the air conditioning system servicing and re gas prior to returning the car. Well done to the Tates Of Hove Hyundai team for excellent customer service and going that extra mile to make the whole experience seem less. Well done !

My car was in need of a service and to have a fault rectified but Tates had no loan cars so I called the salesman who sold me my car and he kindly lent me his own demo to keep me Mobile! This is stunning in terms of customer service and I’d like to thank Chris the salesman there for being so accommodating. Can not recommend this guy and the company any more if I tried! I’ve been sitting on this review for 56-days, waiting for Tates Hyundai to try and redeem themselves, unfortunately as it has taken 56-days to receive a refund after they made a mistake I feel it’s now a fair time to share my thoughts on their service. After a positive first impression when arriving and leaving my car with them it all went downhill! I had booked a full service online via Hyundai - price quoted at 249.00. The service was completed promptly and paid for, only for me to realise they had done an interim service (which would have cost 189.00) as printed on the invoice and the service log book instead of the booked full service, and charged the full service price. They had also failed to update the navigation maps and system software, as required as part of all services. They agreed to a refund of the price difference eventually after a few days of back and forth - they initially didn’t believe me despite having booking confirmation and insisted their normal interim service is priced at 249.00, despite the service levels being listed on the Hyundai website in full... This was back on the 7th December. They have only finally refunded me for THEIR MISTAKE today on 2nd February after I finally threatened them with a county court claim. Shocking customer service, zero communication - I was always the one chasing - and will never ever use this garage again!
