Had a great time on the visit. So very well looked after and well preserved. Absolutely loved wandering around the interior of the ship most, seeing the interactive instalments and well put together sets. The staff had an amazing knowledge, I must have spent 20 minutes speaking to one gent alone. He had such a great knowledge of the history and answers to any questions I had! I wasn’t quite so keen on the Brunel museum, not quite my thing, though very well put together nonetheless.

We visited Brunel's SS Great Britain with our toddler today and had a simply fabulous time! We were both surprised at the wealth of different elements this attraction had to offer in addition to the ship itself and it kept our little boy thoroughly entertained. All in all we were there almost 3 hours which is pretty good going when you have a little one in tow. There is so much to see and learn here and they have gone to great lengths to ensure their Covid processes are clear so that you know exactly what to do and where you should be going. In addition, every member of staff we encountered went out of their way to be helpful and made the whole experience such a pleasant one. A wonderful day out to remember!

The SS Great Britain, the world's first iron-hulled passenger ship, lives on at the same dock from which the great vessel was launched in 1843. The work of the famed engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel, it also was the first use of screw propellers on a ship. Famously rescued from oblivion after being scuttled off the Falkland Islands, the ship is now located at Bristol's Great Western Dock and is a testament to Brunel's engineering ingenuity. Today, you can stroll the ship's upper decks or explore below decks and peep into the luxury cabins of First Class passengers.

An excellent museum covering the life and works of the great engineer Brunel. The highlight is of course the SS Great Britain, recovered from the Falkland islands and brought back to drydock in Bristol. The ship makes a great living museum, as you can see how it would've been for the passengers and crew.

My partner really enjoyed this but wasn’t really my cup of tea. Was completely massive on the inside but do not go if it’s hot weather, Inside the museum boat it is super super hot!!! Interesting information and great details!

One of the best experiences we have had as a family. We really felt as if we were on board the SS Great Britain First, it is COVID-19 friendly. We had to book our tickets in advance and also book a specific time slot. They have a one way system in place and because of the time slots, it was all very organized and not too crowded. The ship itself is amazing from the inside. The best part about it is how authentic it is. I loved reading the letters from the people that were on board the ship; made me feel like I was experiencing history firsthand. Also, the way they displayed the different parts of the boat (rooms, kitchen, dining areas etc.) was amazing. I have attached some pictures. Enjoy it

We can learn the history of ship making from the beginning to now. (From wooden ships to metal ships) And specially you can enjoy this ship how it was supposed to be long time ago and feel the smell of different sections. It looks so natural the way the present it to visitors. Wonderful day out.
