It was a 170 mile round trip for us to visit Lakeside Optics, but well worth the effort. The perfect place to really make a comparison, with the help of David who pointed out features we would not have noticed. Having spent the best part of two hours looking through various spotting scopes we could see the value, and could justify the price of Swarovski. Having used our 80 ATS scope at our local gravel pits, we are delighted with our new spotting scope, well worth the outlay.

Great optics shop with friendly staff. I went in for a pair of Opticron Natura Binoculars 8x42, and since they didn't have a pair to hand (but they did let me try the 10x) they were quick to order a pair from a near by dealer. Good range of optics - Swarvoski, Opticron, Lecia, Vortex e.g. Good prices aswell. But best of all the stunning lake is great for testing the optics. :)
