Had the auto box serviced on my 3 series last year, all the local independent Bmw specialists around by me wanted around 450/500. I think these guys charged roughly 250 for a full service of the gearbox including changing the sump and all the bolts on the sump pan. I did take the under tray off the check too and it was done. All I can comment on was the work they done for me and was good value and done in 3 hours

Poor told me the gear box would be 2000 & the clutch would be 1200, went to another garage got a new clutch fitted & vat for 370. Didnt need a Gearbox saved 2830. Rip off merchants.

Have a 5series 2006 to do automatic gearbox service and had quotes around Bristol for 500-600 just for changing the oil , they did it for 324 wich includes a proper service with new sump pan with filter, new gasket and oil,done quick in few hours,drove the car off like brand new, had some kicks when braking hard from the gearbox when it changes from 2st gear to 1st,that disapeared,brilliant job
