Had a botched vasectomy at this clinic. Ended up having an emergency operation five days in hospital and a long road back to health.. Horrendous pain. Beware the consent form which you sign is a legal document purely to protect the clinic from litigation. No matter how much they screw up. There is no recourse. Do your research and choose a clinic of your choice. Not placed by the nhs as the consequences. As i have found out are Horrendous. I have since been informed that there are trials of a male annual male birth control injection being carried out by the nhs..

Absolutely disgusting service. Avoid this clinic in Buckhurst Hill at all cost. The staff have no compassion whatsoever and treat you like a case number and not a human being with feelings. I was very upset and tearful about having a termination because had circumstances been different I would have kept my baby but unfortunately I ended up here at the hands of these rude and obnoxious people. Especially the recovery nurses who are absolutely disgusting. God forbid you are left to be "taken care of " by a nurse called Phyllis who just leaves you sitting there feeling unwell and then tells you off for saying you don't feel right. I told this nurse I felt unwell to which she replied "for God's sake " before walking off and not coming back. I ended up ringing my partner in tears from the toilet who took me to my local hospital where I had better care and understanding from nurses who know how to do their job emotionally. Not only that but I could tell you what is going on with other patients in the clinic because the staff discuss people's confidential business in front of others. To work in this field you need to be compassionate and understanding however the staff here are rude and only care about their paychecks and want you to be in and out quickly so that they don't have to deal with you. I will never forget my experience here and it will haunt me for a long time because I now hurt more about having the termination. Marie Stopes should be ashamed of themselves

Do not trust these people. My partner had a vasectomy here and ended up with a nasty infection. They refused to provide him with aftercare and it left him with erectile dysfunction. They have poor ratings for a reason, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. IN RESPONSE TO THE REPLY ON MY COMMENT: This is as big of a joke as the service you provide. My partner DID reach out to management and filed a formal complaint asking to be refunded as he needed/needs further treatments to battle the infection (which he still currently is suffering with). Chronic Prostatitis can last for a very long time and it's not uncommon for it to return even once it's been resolved. After a lengthy "investigation" by the Marie Stopes complaint team, they completely absolved themselves from any culpability nor did they offer any compensation for a complication that was clearly linked to the procedure. All my partner got was a verbal apology from the surgeon.... So, thank you for your comment but your establishment is TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTE CROOKS....

After reading all the negative reviews I was a bit vary about going to this clinic. I had no choice as they were the only one that understood my fear of medications and agreed to do a surgical termination. I could not ask for a better experience. Every single person who works there was friendly, understanding, caring and completely non judgmental from start to finish. Even tho we had a 5 hours delay on the day, not once I felt annoyed. If anything it gave me some extra time to deal with my fear of what was waiting for me next. I was even offered a supervised sip of water considering at that point I haven't had anything to eat or drink for a half a day. The procedure is a blur but everything went by the book including the healing period. I am extremely grateful for everyone who works there, they made this difficult time a lot more comfortable for me. Thank you!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Had a vasectomy and they completely botched the procedure. Tried to get help but they refuse to do anything about it. 500 quid down the drain and now loads more to spend to try and fix their mistake. TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS, I wish I would have.

9 years ago I have a pregnancy removed and I have used the brilliant service today again. MS is a fantastic organization. The staff at Buckhurst Hill are all great fast and efficient. They Explained everything that was going to happen. They never made me judged. Yes there is a cattle market in and out feel, but there has to be its what it is women and men arriving for efficient services and then leaving. It’s not a hospital to lay and remover in beds. I only have very positive things to say about Buckhurst Hill. I feel very lucky I have a choice about my own body.

For a company that deals with quite a emotional subject I feel like they should probably employ some more sympathetic staff. Service over the phone is really good and you receive all the answers to your questions as well as emotional support however the service in the Buckhurst Hill clinic is absolutely disgusting. I had to come here on two separate occasions due to a unsuccessful termination. Both times I had to wait for 40 minutes in the waiting room even though my appointment was booked for a specific time, then when your actually seen your treated like a case rather than a human being with feelings during a hard time. They rush you out the room and deliberately ignore your questions. I actually felt like I was being told off when asking questions as I was obviously concerned that my previous tablets didn’t work. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but the man who saw me was really insensitive and actually rude as he was huffing at my confusion whilst I was tearful in the room. Would avoid at all costs unless you want to be treated like cattle. I wouldn’t want any other young girl to experience what I went through especially going through such a emotional topic.
