Miles was a brilliant surf coach & was incredibly patient with us particularly as we were beginners. We felt very safe the whole time & the session was completely tailored to us. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and will be booking again next year.

We had a great time with Miles. Although cold and windy, Miles was super patience with James (6 yrs old) and we were all able to stand on the board which made us feel amazing! Big high fives! See you next year.
Me and my boyfriend were super keen to try some surfing on our staycation to Cornwall. Miles came recommended by the guys working in the surf shop on Crookes beach. We were keen to go with Miles as he was the only person doing one to one / small group sessions. Miles was amazing and made us both feel very confident and comfortable on the beach, in the water, and on the boards! We started our 2 hour lesson with a safety briefing, warm up and were then given the basics on the sand. We then headed into the water where Miles helped myself more than my partner as I was new to surfing. The 2 hours went so quickly as we were having so much fun. Miles gave great feedback and really focussed on what you could improve, as well as praising you when you did well which motivated me to carry on trying! We were so impressed we booked in for a second session and then recommended it to our friends who also booked in for a session and LOVED it. Thanks so much for an amazing first experience with surfing! We can’t wait to come back and will absolutely be recommending Miles to everyone we know who wants to give it a go!
My 9-year-old daughter and I had really enjoyable session with Miles. Very engaging guy, great advice and encouragement made all the difference. Daughter was beaming the whole time and the rest of the day and it was the highlight of my holiday. Inspired us to come back for more asap!
I booked 2 of my daughters in for lessons with Miles whilst we were on holiday in Bude. They have both body boarded before but never surfed so to be honest I wasn't expecting them to get up on their boards in the first lesson. However they did! Miles was a great teacher and from what I saw able to engage with kids, my giggly teens and adults alike which isn't always easy to do. Sophie and Izzy loved the lessons and I wouldn't hesitate to book again if we're back in Bude.
