Lovely pub, very specious, live music. Food is great, friendly staff.
We have been drinking at this pub for years and seen many changes of staff, management etc. We visited today and the COVID-19 measures were fine, the service was fine, the beer was spot on, but the garden area (it was very warm today) were well below the standard you would expect. The garden tables were splattered in dried bird mess (which could easily have been cleaned before the pub opened) and just behind the table was a dog mess bag (used) which appeared to have been there for sometime. All these months to make the garden area inviting to customers, and yet, it is completely neglected. This pub has so much potential, but is not living up to expectations. What a shame.
Our evening this evening started out very nice myself and my girls were lucky enough 2 have very polite lovely staff and fantastic food however as the evening progressed bar staff persistently walked past my husband after saying that they would be with him in a moment if he took a seat and to see the security not wearing mask n shaking hands n having hugs was not great to see
Such a great night with the family last night. Tom, Libby and the team were excellent, as was the food and atmosphere. Loved it!
