Not to be dramatic, but this was the best roast dinner I have had. We had the three course sunday menu and every plate of food was fantastic. Not an average pub lunch, the chef's really know what they are doing and the ingredients are very high quality. Amazing staff, they are friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Highly recommend!

Food is great considering the size of the menu. The prices reflect the presentation more than the size or quality of the food. Everything other than 1 plate (5 of us 3 courses) was good but not great. The fish was undercooked on both the starter and main and cod had bones in it. Would expect better for 23 for a piece of cod and 3 small potatoes. The deserts are really good, the wait staff and other guests ruined the experience.
We had the baked crottin starter (yum) followed by smoked haddock fish cake for me and roast beef for my partner - all beautifully cooked and presented, and really tasty. We can’t usually squeeze in dessert but decided to try. I only have two words . Choux. Bun. I love choux buns but this literally was the best I’ve ever had.
Like returning home (but with amazing food)- same friendly welcome, creative and delicious food, fantastic service and ambience. Add sunshine and wine - perfect. We’ve missed you Burnt Truffle. So good to have you back. Went for the first time after receiving vouchers for a present absolutely loved the food, it was all amazing.
The Sunday lunch at Burnt Truffle is a really lovely treat, friendly staff and desserts which are truly amazing
