Although is a small attraction, the art on offer is quite beautiful, and the Gallery is a nice place to spend an hour or so. Two shops are available - with some nice works of art to purchase (albeit a bit pricey). The Pandemic closed the Tea Room, but hopefully it will reopen shortly.

Small museum with big ideas, some brilliant contemporary exhibitions in the past with a mix of new, upcoming and established artists. Some works you'll love, some you won't - that's art, but with an ever changing programme of exhibitions and events there's bound to be something you'll enjoy.
I went to Bury Art Museum specifically to see the Victoria Wood exhibition. It was absolutely fantastic. It's only a couple of rooms, but they're packed with memorabilia from throughout her career, and there are excellent packs of information explaining what each exhibit is. It was so moving to see some of my favourite Victoria Wood scenes and sketches written in her own hand. I'll definitely be back because I'm sure to have missed something. And while I'm there, I'll definitely take in more of the museum. Oh, and the gift shop is a little gem!
Travelled to see the Victoria Wood exhibition and absolutely loved it. The museum is lovely, as are the gift and coffee shops
A small art museum but a great way to pass some time! The staff are welcoming and well informed about the artwork found here. I went while the yearly art competition was on and got to see lots of different pieces from a range of artists and I handed in my vote of which piece of art struck me the most. I hope my vote reaches the artist and they can take something away from it!
Bury Art Museum was a regular weekly visit when I was working in Bury . First lunch at the cafe upstairs and then a tour of both the permanent and themed exhibitions. The shop is always worth a look as well . Got a few Christmas presents from there.
Love this little art gallery, some beautiful pictures and they often do free events for the kids. The staff are lovely and the shops has some lovely things, unusual art etc..
The Victoria wood exhibition was great. Seeing the statue was a must. A great tribute to a great comedian
