Bury St Edmunds - amazing team. The best care for your pets. Now they also do hip/elbow/spine xray for SV (German) scoring.

I’ve been with Eastgate Vets for nearly 20 years and though very expensive, the staff there are usually very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately I was confronted by one very rude and sarcastic Reception staff, with no ‘ people skills’ whatsoever, who thinks that sarcasm and rudeness to customers is acceptable !! I queried why my Dog was given Drontal Worming tablets, on his last visit when, he hasn’t had them for years ?? She said it’s on the system that he’s been getting them !! Well, I can assure Eastgate Vets, he has Not been getting Drontal Tablets for years, and that’s why, I queried why he has been given them now ??? I know what I put in my Dogs mouth, and anyone can click a few keyboard keys, and make a false statement, but I know that my Dog has Not been getting something, I pay for every month !! Such a shame, that one rude and incompetent person, can spoil the reputation of a fairly decent, Vet practice.

Yesterday morning my 4 year old cat Moo was hit by a car, my son and I searched for a vet in Bury which was open for emergencies on a Sunday and Eastgate vet was the one we took her to. I rang ahead to speak to the vet ( Jess) who was lovely and told me to be there at 10.15 that morning, while we waited in the car park to be seen the young lady nurse ( I don’t know her name but she was lovely too) came out to say the vet wouldn’t be long so I told her we would like to register at their practice before seeing the vet. When Jess came out she explained what she was going to do to Moo ( X-rays needed to determine the extent of the injuries) and told us to ring at 2pm if we hadn’t heard anything. At 2pm she phoned to say that Moo had a dislocated back leg and had sustained several fractures in her pelvis, we went back to the vets and discussed a referral to a specialist, Jess made some calls and gave us a price of what the operation was going to cost, we agreed and she phoned the surgeon back ( Christchurch Vetenary Surgery) and said to take Moo there as they would be expecting us. I would like to say my son and I are so overwhelmed by the care and genuine love and respect both Jess and the young nurse gave both Moo, my son and myself, she went out of her way to help us and I would totally have no hesitation to recommend this Veterinary practice, we owe her a lot and she is a diamond, thank you Jess so much for being so kind, caring and totally professional, you made a very upsetting situation a little more bearable for us. 5 ️ ️️️️ ️️️️
