Claudia's chicken/bantam keeping course is very enjoyable and informative afternoon, set in a beautiful location in rural Hertfordshire - also really easily accessible from London (nearest town Bishop's Stortford - 10 mins drive). Claudia's passion shines through in her presentation and teachings - she is very good at explaining any problems that you might incur while keeping chickens, as well offering essential advice on keeping chickens - what kind of chicken hatch to buy - the pros and cons of plastic/wooden homes etc or what to do if they have any illnesses. A great family day out too, the four of us very much enjoyed listening to Claudia and meeting all the gorgeous bantams! To top it all off Claudia also treated us to homemade cake and a cup of tea to finish which was a lovely surprise. Thanks to Claudia I feel very prepared to look after chickens or bantams - her approachable and friendly nature meant it was very easy to ask questions - and as she said no question is ever too silly! A great afternoon for anybody whether you own chickens or just want the opportunity to meet lots of different breeds! Thank you Claudia!
After visiting many breeders I was delighted to discover Bury Green Poultry. What a lovely place! The chickens are beautifully cared for and seem happy and healthy. Claudia is warm, friendly and very knowledgeable. It was a real pleasure to meet her. Our gorgeous pekins have settled in well and were tame from the day we bought them home, proof of the wonderful care and love received from Claudia. I highly recommend Bury Green Poultry and will definitely be returning.
We are so pleased with the gorgeous chicks we purchased from Bury Green Poultry. Claudia was friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. As first-time chicken owners it was especially appreciated that she was able to answer all our questions and give great advice. There were an impressive number of breeds available. I would recommend this business for novices and enthusiasts alike.
