We walked through the gates at the former Blenheim Camp in Bury St Edmunds on Thursday 20th August 1964 to commence recruit training in the Royal Anglian Regiment. Most of the former Bury St Edmund's Barracks is long since turned-over to other uses, but we managed to fit in a memory-jogging stop-over once in the 1990s on the way back from Ipswich.
