A great place to visit to bring history alive. My 7 and 6 year old daughters really enjoyed themselves as did us adults. Lots of hand sanitiser points and toilets very clean with maximum of two people at a time. Goats and sheep to feed. Staff very helpful and informative. Will definitely be visiting again.

Absolutely loved this place! So much to see and such wonderful, knowledgeable staff!
This was somewhere different to visit. There was a few animals to see but not many. You can buy bags of food to feed to the sheep and goats. Buildings were interesting to see although there are signs of modern construction techniques having been used and not all the work being done by hand. The blacksmith wasn’t very good to see as there was three of them working but none were talkative or said much/explained what they were doing. There is a small selection of cold food on offer which is enough for a light lunch. Not overly expensive. There are a few picnic benches outside to sit at but nothing inside. Parking is free. Dogs are allowed on short leads.
Really interesting. Takes you from stone age to Saxon farming. Fascinating buildings bring to life the history. Well worth a visit.
Really good. Helpful and very knowledgeable people. Brings to life the theory and physicality of the evidence. Loved the smell of the woodsmoke in the huts. A must for any archaeologist or anyone interested in the early history of the UK.
