Had a wonderful time on ML assessment with Bryn and Tom, felt really comfortable and relaxed even when things weren’t going 100% for me, which helped immensely!

I found Bryn Williams through the Mountain Training website and after hearing that a friend had booked to go with him, I was reassured. This was 100% validated once the course had started. Bryn not only knows his stuff, but the style and maker of the course is really relaxed and it's fair to say that the whole group were at ease really quickly. The content of the MT training course is probably fairly consistent with many course providers, but the scenarios and potential paths discussed helped us all put the course into our own personal contexts. Would recommend Bryn and his team without a shadow of a doubt.

I recently attended the 4 day RCDI course with Bryn. Bryn is an excellent coach, instructor, guide and mentor. The course was delivered at a pace where information was easy to digest and put into practice. Bryn is able to use different teaching styles to match individual needs and ensure understanding. All skills were explained thoroughly in an appropriate context. We were then given opportunities to put key skills into practice in pairs in order to check understanding. Feedback was always given in a positive, patient and encouraging fashion with an emphasis on personal growth and development. Most importantly, the course was laid back, fun and inspiring. I'd highly recommend Bryn Williams Mountaineering to anyone looking to go through Mountain Training qualifications.

I really enjoyed it, The training definitely brought a clearer picture of what is required of an ML. Now I have that knowledge, I can build on my strengths and focus harder on bringing my weaknesses up to scratch, Both of which were exposed on the ML training. Don’t feel daunted by that, quite the opposite. Bryn and Tom were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

I did both training AND assessment for my ML with Bryn: the best decision of my hiking career to date. He is knowledgeable, patient, pragmatic and fun when it comes to teaching, encouraging and assessing on the mountains. Now working towards my IML- thank you for all your support, Bryn!

I took part in a 4 day RCDI training with Bryn in October. I learnt loads from the course and really feel like it gave me the tools and information to introduce novice climbers to sport and trad climbing, as well as coach more experienced climbers. Bryn’s relaxed but professional approach was great and his vast experience was evident throughout.

Over The years through my trail running in Snowdonia I ended up doing some of the classic grade 1 scrambles and been thinking for a while to do a scrambling course to discover more challenging routes and start building skills and knowledge. Through Bryn Williams Mountaineering I ended up booking a 1 day private tuition with Greg Cain. Greg was great company and a really good teacher. We covered a lot on top of the actual scrambling (Idwal Buttress and Cneifion Arete) - route reading, rope work, gear placement, belaying and abseiling techniques and put that into practice over easy grounds by looking at different scenarios where I had to make decisions on what options to use for running and direct belays. All in all, a great and really packed day that I would recommend to anyone who wants to start building knowledge to become more confident and Independent.
