I’ve been coming here for 30 years. Jesse James and his bunkhouse have more character than his American namesake. The Bunk house has been made by him over the years which is quirky, practical and simplistic but very effective place with everything you could want. Jesse has a wealth of Snowdonia knowledge to share with the respectful visitor to his home and will duly reward those people with some of Maggie’s prize winning flapjack. If you want to open up his wealth of fantastic stories and experiences take a Malt and offer him a dram, fear not he will reciprocate. A lovely place and a fantastic couple who provide excellent value accommodation and customer service.

Nice accommodation. Used our own sleeping bags but blankets provided. Jesse is a really cool guy and very friendly. Left us flapjack in the morning and provided everything outdoorsy people need.
Fantastic place to stay. Great location and ideal for climbing and hiking in Snowdonia. Full of atmosphere and not like any other bunkhouse I have stayed at. Has all the facilities you will need and you will be made to feel very at home whether staying for a day, a week or more. I've stayed there many times and will stay there many more.
Last minute trip and the 4 of us enjoyed our stay here. Jesse is a great host. There was everything we needed for our stay
Wonderful people , wealth of hospitality and amazing stories and knowledge of local climbing and beyond . Always enjoy staying in this fantastic place and cannot Recommend enough . Memories are made here that last a lifetime . Thanks Jessie and Maggie see you again next year
Would 100% recommend this place. Jesse and his wife are an incredibly welcoming and friendly couple. The bunk house itself has everything you need, is very clean and full of character. I will definitely be staying there again.
Excellent location and the facilities are good overall. However the rooms are spread about the owners flat and the roof leaks in several places. The owners are sweet but he is impressively passive aggressive. Visit for s strong sense of the feeling of disapproval you get when you take a few friends to visit your parents and decide to have a drink or two.
Back again ! You always get a warm welcome here it's a time machine back to the seventies . It's cheap as chips and a lot of fun to stay here and certainly beats camping .
