Deeply regret that museum was close. Instead we took beautiful walk around the slate quarries.

Great museum. Unfortunately parts of it are closed but the blacksmith was amazing and very friendly. We love the spoons he made!

Its free and very informative, Ive been twice now, 9 years apart and still plenty to see. You need to book online in advance at the moment due to Covid, and please note, even babies need a ticket. Well worth a visit and highly recommended.

Prebooking is required at the moment. Interesting story and life of the miners. A shame what they had to do. Staff are knowledgeable and they have blacksmiths working in site sometimes. Decent gift shop as well.

A nice museum where you can walk around and see the history of produce slates. Free entrance and maps can be found at entrance. Parking spaces available around as well.

A fascinating place, perfect for a trip through Wales' slate-based history. Unfortunately we arrived too late to see the demonstrations but still, a walk around the museum took us right back to the era of exciting opportunity and very hard work!
