Easy access now that the track does not need keys - it used to be a faff but no longer! One of the most spacious mountain huts in the UK, with beds (Alpine bunks) for 23 in 3 dorms (plus a members room for 10). The kitchen has 20 hobs and two ovens and seated our whole party of 23 for dinner with room to spare. Add to this a spacious wood paneled lounge with a lovely gas fire, it was perfect for our film night and there was even a projector screen!

Great mountain hut with excellent views over the hills. Originally an explosives store for the Dinorwic slate mines, it's a really spacious hut. Plenty of space in the lounge and kitchen for our group of 23. Dorms are largely alpine bunks and are comfortable. Only slight faff was with needing keys for the track leading to the hut. That said well worth a visit.
