Care Manager

I have a contract with a waste company who subcontract to PHS. They are commissioned to perform weekly collections of 2 x 1100L bins. I manage a nursing home and apparently its okay to leave our hazardous waste overflowing, now birds are splitting the bags. They move the collection days around to suit themselves and don't tell you why. They are unhelpful when contacted and told that their service is poor and unreliable. They have no concern for their customers and some of the drivers are confrontational and argumentative. If you are looking for a waste collection service this is probably not the company that will meet your needs let alone your expectations. Currently our car park is littered with hazardous waste as every time we clean it up the vermin attack. I have complained about this and they tell me they won't be able to collect till Thursday! Well I suppose we can stockpile the waste in the nursing home where there are vulnerable adults in the middle of a pandemic....Merry Christmas! PS: I have been contacted by Dave K at PHS who has listened to my issues, given me an apology and hopefully my bins will be emptied today and a promise of a once weekly regular collection moving forward.....I am very grateful but will be happier when it actually happens. Thank you to Dave K for your apology.

Absolutely dreadful sharp practice, charging me throughout the pandemic when emailing to say the support us even though we cancelled the service, and now charging me for a direct debit and portal service we do not even have. No one will talk to you on the phone.. Terrible practice and no consideration for us as a client. Customer service dreadful. No one can be bothered to speak to him.

**PHS GROUP - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!** After being a loyal customer for 14 years we tried to cancel our mat hire due to relocation to a new office. We were notified our latest 2014 contract renewed automatically every 2 years without any notification and you only have a short window of which you can cancel with 90 days notice. We tried to cancel a contract that renewed on 18/03/18, 2 weeks prior but were told we would have to wait until 2020 due to the automatic renewal as we hadn't given 90 days notice! The price has increased by 37% since 2014 but they state they can raise the price in the contract at their discretion. We were threatened with the T&C's which are weighted in the favor of PHS Group and they were extremely unhelpful and refused to assist us unless we paid the contract in full. I would not recommend anyone uses this company - any alternative would be better!! Some companies show little emphasis on customer service and loyalty. A short term gain over a long term strategic approach. Oh and they wouldn't take our notice now, we had to wait until 90 days prior to the renewal in 2020 as their system couldn't keep our request on file! #PHSGROUPAWFULSERVICE
