Really nice walk and its not a big falls but a small, narrow gorge more like. But a good walk for some outdoor fresh air and scenery. The whole walk from carpark to the bridge over to the other side and walk up the hill is very nice and challenging for people who really want o put some steps in ..

A lovely short woodland walk near the village of Callander to reach the Falls. The car park nearest the falls is small and gets busy quickly. Visited in October when the Autumn colours were turning.

Hard to say what we liked most: the waterfall itself or the road to it. The waterfall is unusual, as there is not much of a \fall\ in it. No huge drop in height, but instead a gorge-like narrows among huge blocks of black rocks. All of this can be viewed from the log bridge spanning the gorge. Difficult to photograph from the bridge. Wide angle lens absolutely necessary. And difficult to include any object that would suggest the gargantuan scale if Bracklinn Falls. The road to the falls might look longer than you may have expected (we walked the whole distance from Callander, which took us maybe 1 hour). Gravel path winding through the woods, with several solid bridges over even the smallest brook (they looked like an overkill on dry weather, but maybe less so under rain). The last third of the way, past the parking lot, brings you to a nearly level plateau, ans offers great views if the woodland and meadows stretching to the horizon. Blackberries everywhere, ripe in September, which nobody seems to be eating. Hey, people, these are the same blackberries that you pay 2-3 for in supermarkets, only much tastier and free. Try them!

Quite the gem. Car park can get quite full at peak times, but worth hanging around until a space appears. Short walk to the spectacular falls. A range of places to views the falls, either from the sidelines or on the rocks or indeed from the lovely wee bridge - so it never feels too crowded. For a little bit more of an adventure and spectacular views, turn left after crossing the bridge to do the circular walk (3.5miles/5.6km).

A good 3/4 of a mile from the Callander car park. Nice steady walk. Beautiful view of the waterfalls, which can be viewed from a timber trussed bridge.
