A beautiful place to explore and relax in. My family and I have been coming here for years and years and we are National Trust members. They have an area of interest all year long, from the winter garden to the snowdrops to the dahlia festival. The gardens are packed full of beautiful plants. Behind each corner is another beautiful garden special in its own right. The cafe is a lovely place to sit and recover from all your exploring and what a better way than with tea and scones! There is so much here to discover and a lot of history to get your teeth into.

Understandably not everything is open, but a pleasant walk round the one-way system. Also hot drinks and snacks available. Really friendly staff/volunteers.

National Trust property with great walks and gardens, even in mid Winter. Obvious restrictions due to Covid in place but still uplifting on either a Winter or Summer day. Well worth a visit.

Brilliant place to go for a walk. Even with these tier 4 restrictions in place you are still able to enjoy the grounds and feel safe doing so. Right now, January 2021 the grounds gas been turned into a one way system with many of the pathways closed to ensure everyone is able to keep walking in the same direction. You can still get to see many of the main sights a d there is still some choices in path to take. Even though the car park was full the grounds did not seem overly crowded. With at least two coffee points open and toilet block no one place had crowed gathered waiting. If your a member and you can get a booking it's still worth a visit.
