Cambridge Museum of Technology holds an extensive collection of steam, gas and electric pumps. Formerly the local sewage works, the Museum tells the Industrial history of the city. Plus a very interesting exhibition of the high technology company Pye. TV, radar and mobile phones from the 1940s. Great.

Interesting place for adults and for children also. Some fun activities for kids to do as well.

Quite a few buildings to visit with interactive things for kids. All well explained and very interesting, especially the Pye building. Worth an hour or 1/1/2 hours' visit

A delightful little museum that has a surprisingly large amount to offer. The main feature is the Victorian steam powered pumping station and there are some great examples of industrial scale steam works. It's a great experience for both engineering fanatics and families looking for something interesting. There is also a nice exhibit based on PYE technologies in one of the buildings on the upper area of the site. In many ways the museum is a work in progress, the staff and volunteers are friendly and enthusiastic, we had a great chat about future events and further developments such as new facilities and exhibitions. I had a great time and I'm looking forward to going back in the future.

Have been here several times and enjoyed the visit each time. They've got lots of different attractions to try and lots of different games you can try out on all the old consoles and equipment. It really brings back the nostalgia of playing Mario Kart on a Super Nintendo system when I was a child. Great fun. It would be further improved if they "gamified" the experience by providing a guide to going around the centre and picking up bits of information / playing certain games / ticking off different things - or provide some other direction for each visitor so that they get around all the exhibits and get the most out of their visit.

This place is a wonderful gem and an excellent museum! If you like history or mechanical things or just like fun gizmos you will really enjoy visiting the museum of technology. The museum is very well done with helpful placards explaining the history and how everything works.
