This was possibly one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to outside of Italy. I was quite boring with my order this time but some of the food I saw on other tables looked amazing. Everything was so tasty and staff were pleasant. I went on a Saturday and it was a bit busy and chaotic as it took a while to get first drinks but it didn't spoil the visit.

I had a lovely birthday meal with my family. I was very impressed with the service from Alessandro.. Very knowledgeable about the food and highly professional. I was made to feel very special and was presented with a slice of complimentary cake! We are a family of foodies and every single dish we had was utterly delicious. We'll be making Gattuso's a regular from now on.

The price slightly increases when it became the Gattuso's but everything else remains. Fresh ingredients, flavourful pasta, tasty pizza. Personally, its homeliness and authenticity still make it the best Italian restaurant in town. 21/01/18 Dinner update: lost count of how many times I’ve been here. Like the presentation of today’s risotto and the pizza was perfectly baked too!

Spectacular food with a warm welcome. Alex, our waiter, was excited to find the dishes we'd most enjoy -- happily working with a no-pork group dietary restriction that cut away a good chunk of the menu. Ultimately, he decided to create some bespoke plates that he hoped might \wow\ us. And wow us they did! We first enjoyed a red pizza with parmesan, rocket, and fresh tomatoes. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, high quality, providing an intense burst of flavor, accompanying the nutty rocket to cut through a generous portion of creamy, salty cheeses. The cheese, however, did not overwhelm or weigh down the dish, balancing perfectly the acidic, slightly peppery tomato sauce. Gattuso's crust is among the best I've experienced -- crunchy and thin on the bottom without any sogging or sagging, and a deliciously salty outer rim that was ultra light and crisp. Our second dish was an aubergine and tomato penne. I must confess that I don't ordinarily go for red-sauce pastas, as I find the acidic tomato a bit too one-note. However, this pasta changed my mind; tender aubergine paired perfectly with al dente penne, and both were enveloped in a flavorsome, earthy tomato sauce made creamy through just the right splash of oil and dairy. It was simple, bright, and full of that home-crafted love you rarely feel when eating out. We cashed out at just 24 for a two-person lunch -- a steal, as far as I'm concerned. It's the sort of place where you just know you'll be remembered and welcomed back as family. I'd come back any day for thoughtful, lovingly-made Italian meals.

I had a birthday dinner at Gattuso’s and my experience was amazing! The food was great (as always at this restaurant), the staff was super polite and friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what I wanted! Plus, it has the best pizza in town! I highly recommend it!
