Just expressing my opinion folks, it's not right or wrong ! I've mixed feelings about the Cameo !! * on the plus side - fantastic films that they show and the style of the cinema is very nostalgic. * on the minus side - very expensive for tickets, very expensive bar, very expensive snack's and it might just be me, but we've always found it a wee bit seedy looking. When times get better for us all, enjoy !!

Lovely independent cinema with original architecture. There's a little cafe to the left just inside the main entrance, where you can enjoy a beverage before or after the film. The staff are friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for us. I found the seats in the auditorium to be extremely comfortable and have a slouch function to top it off. Will definitely be visiting this little gem the next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Went to the bar downstairs with my girlfriend on our way into Edinburgh for the theatre. Was a good stop-off on a long walk into town, we chose to spend a few hours to walk across the city rather than take a bus. It's quite 1930s-ish, nice place, but VERY expensive for drinks. Worth a visit though for the atmosphere.

Great films, fabulous staff, so helpful and knowledgeable and a wonderful art deco venue too.

Lovely little cinema full of character and charm just like a trip to your (probably now closed) local independent cinema. Was recommended a visit online whilst looking for things to do on holiday in Edinburgh. Screen and sound have had a modernisation so don’t expect a crappy presentation (this is part of a larger company) retro and classic films show also. Just 7.50 on a Monday night compared to 11 the rest of the time. Screen 1 has really comfy reclining seats throughout the screen as standard. Only downfall was a damp smell which considering how hot the place was seemed strange but after half an hour you didn’t really notice it.

Always has good and interesting films. Unfortunately the seats are a bit uncomfortable.

Beautiful cinema! We were staying in Edinburgh for a few days and then decided to go see Little Women at The Cameo. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We recommend 100%
