It's one of my favorite places when I decide to give myself a treat with the food. Excellent food and very friendly staff! I can't wait to go back again!

Nice little place. Had the Vegetarian Venezuelan Breakfast, with Arepas, plantains, black beans, Venezuelan cheese and scrambled eggs. Really good. Black beans were cooked in I think stock, onions and garlic, very tasty. The Venezuelan cheese was lovely, texture of mozzarella but lighter, with the saltiness of normal cheese. Different and tasty. The Arepas we really liked! Arepas are "MADE OF GROUND MAIZE, WATER AND SALT, THE DOUGH IS FORMED INTO A PATTY, GRILLED, BAKED OR FRIED". Different and really tasty. Plantains were very good too. Portion was good. Also had the CACHAPA CON QUESO, sweetcorn pancakes filled with the aforementioned Venezuelan cheese. Really good. Dishes were served with two sauces/dips: a garlic one and an avocado one. The avocado one is wholly unlike Mexican guacamole, instead much thinner and more savoury, really nice. Again very different, therefore great. Friendly service, will be visiting again!
As a Venezuelan, I feel very proud of this place. The decor is impeccable and the food is simply great. It resembles a Venezuelan bakery/cafe. The food selection is great for breakfast and lunch whether you just want a coffee and a pastry or a more typical Venezuelan flavour like a hearty arepa or empanada. Well done Canaima Coffee!
I had a late breakfast here today, arepa with a macchiato. The folks who staff this cafeteria are Venezuelan. Very friendly and helpful. It gave me a little chance to practice my Spanish before heading to Colombia for the Xmas holidays. The menu is typical Venezuelan. Highly recommended for that snack on your way through Albany Road.
I went here this morning for coffee and cake. Both were divine. I highly recommend. Lovely interior. Enjoyed sitting in the window and reading my book. I will definitely be returning here to try out the savoury menu which looked scrumptious!
This was a pleasant, accidental discovery! We parked near Canaima Coffee a few weeks ago, with the intention of going to another nice restaurant nearby for lunch, but noticed Canaima Coffee and decided to give it a try. We went back again a few days ago. The Venezuelan menu is very enjoyable, the people who work at the restaurant are pleasant and welcoming, and this has become one of my favourite places for lunch.
Had a lovely brunch there and was very filling. The sauces that came with the meal added some great flavours that I'd never had before. Will definitely be going back.
An excellent experience all round. Some of the best coffee my partner and I have found in Cardiff matched with very nice Venezuelan food.
