I would not recommend purchasing anything from Hughes. I bought a television 18 months ago which it developed an irreparable fault. Hughes collected the television to ‘see what could be done’ then ignored all following requests for either a refund or replacement. They might be ok for little purchases where you don’t mind if the product breaks, but for big purchases I’d recommended a retailer that offers a guarantee on their products, or sells products which last more than a few months.

Couldn’t be happier with the service we received from Russell today. It can be a minefield knowing what machine to buy but all we had to do was explain what we needed and Russell new what we would need , his knowledge was exceptional and he was so very helpful, he took the time to listen to what we needed. My 1st time at Hughes, Cannock. A fantastic service by Russell. I don't think I've ever met a more knowledgeable salesperson - and he's lovely chap too. We needed to help our elderly parents replace their gas cooker, under a warranty claim. Initially Russell was extremely helpful when we phoned the store and gave us great advice how to proceed. When we subsequently called into the shop, Wendy dealt with us very professionally and with great empathy, even ensuring we were given the best price and allowing us time to call our parents to check everything was to their satisfaction. I have previously bought from Hughes in Sutton Coldfield and was very disappointed when it closed. Finding a store in Cannock I felt it worth the drive to investigate further and found Wendy from Sutton working there. I knew I was in safe hands. I had a television fitted yesterday. John had been previously to remove a fireplace and prepare the electrical supply.He returned with Scott and they did a fantastic job. Nothing was too much trouble, Scott patiently did the tuning to make sure everything was as I wanted. I later found out he was on leave and had come especially to help John with the installation. The sheer professionalism and courtesy shown was second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hughes to anyone, and will certainly be returning in the future.
