Great club. Started taking my son there a few months ago, he loves it. Very welcoming, the sort of place you're happy to see your kids go to, plenty of encouragement and plenty of fun. Have since followed him onto the mat and, like the kids, grown-ups get a warm welcome, plenty of encouragement and plenty of fun.

I've been training with Honto Judo for 5 or 6 years now. I can't recommend it enough. Super friendly and judo is made accessible to all abilities. No other club I have been to better exemplifies the principles of judo: "Mutual welfare and benefit" and "Maximum efficiency"

I have been training at Honto judo for just over three years, though the club has been around since 2007. Honto is a very welcoming club where traditional judo is taught with a focus on technical style rather than competition judo, though some of our more competitive members find this to be a great balance when combined with training at other more randori focussed clubs. We have just finished our first year of junior judo and are now seeing good numbers of kids on the mat with very noticeable improvements to their judo-related skills as well as general paying of attention - which I'm sure the parents are rather happy with. Come and join us, we're a friendly bunch. Seniors - Mon & Thurs. Juniors - Friday.

Joined this club when I returned to Judo after 4 years away. I only intended to go every so often but I enjoyed the friendly relaxed non competetive atmosphere so much that I started to love Judo more than I ever had as and am learning more now than I ever did. I have discovered what my Judo was missing.
